Episode 0: Redux

January 27th, 2008 by Murray Barnes | Posted in pmt

Man, I just had to look up the definition of the word redux there, to see if I was using it correctly.

I said I would write about episode 0 when I was done watching it. Well, I am done watching it, and I am left a bit speechless.

I am not exactly proud of what we did in that episode. I mean, Tom was awesome, as he always is. His wayohs were timed perfectly, and his upside down guitar playing is to be marvelled at. Paul was so quiet as to be almost not there. And I? Well, I was just embarrassing.

According to my brother, it made him want to stab me in the face. A purely understandable reaction, surely. I think it was the pan pipe dancing that got to him. It was awesome, to be sure.

Another person, one of the Kentish folk, and the only one I still speak to with any sort of regularity (and, really, not as often as it should be. Man, I do miss talking to her more often. We shall have to fix that) said it made her cry, and she swallowed her chewing gum with shock. I think that this is what Hollywood is missing. Modern movies just do not achieve the same effect (or is that affect? Someone remind me to look that up) with their lame scenes.

Sirs, I put it to you that PMT are better than Hollywood. Comments?

“Sirs, I put it to you that PMT are better than Hollywood.”

That depends, I mean, Hollywood did make I Am Legend, a truly terrible film.

On the other hand, Hollywood also made some good films, so it evens out.

If, however, you were to say:
“Sirs, I put it to you that PMT are better than the AIDS.”
Then yeah, I’d have to agree with you.
